SoftClan DialLock is an application that simplifies and enhances Dial-Up Networking in Windows 95/98/Me, while endowing it with more security and control. SoftClan DialLock in general allows its Administrator to: - Restrict the Internet access via modems (standard, ISDN, etc.), optionally controlling the days of the week and the time of the day the user is allowed to use certain connections. - Export/Import Dial-Up Networking connections for backup purposes or to share them Between PCs. - Handle in a central manner all the Dial-Up Networking connections available in the system to make them easier to use and administer. - Define multiple phone numbers per ISP connection. - Connect to the Internet using any of the Dial-Up Networking connections available in the system, in a quick, easy fashion. - Detect and block any connection attempt using unknown, unwanted or unauthorized Dial-Up Networking connections. - Detect and automatically reestablish any unauthorized change of the system time and/or date. Furthermore, SoftClan DialLock is fully configurable and administrable through an easy-to-use, familiar interface and the on-the-fly Protection/monitoring process is absolutely transparent and does not alter the operation or speed of the system at all.
